The website for book publisher Waterstone recently had some intriguing information for those RPGers suffering withdrawals in the three and a half since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion‘s release. The publisher’s website listed details on an upcoming novel set in the Elder Scrolls universe, using some interesting verbage to place the book within the franchise’s larger history.
“A novel that takes places forty-five years after the Oblivion Crisis, which is the story of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion game and the expansion pack Shivering Isles,” read the post. “It partly bridges the gap for the next game, which is set 200 years after the Oblivion crisis.”
Could this really be indicative of another Elder Scrolls, despite what many of the development team have expressed in prior interviews and communications? Let us know your thoughts below!
