A continuing hot topic in our forums, Warren Spector’s pet Disney project has come forward with few details, but has managed to drum up some serious hype. Famous for his FPS/RPG hybrid Deus Ex, Spector’s take on the marketing mastermind mouse has taken on the simple title “Epic Mickey,” with art design and concept art to back it up. Game Informer has recently revealed “Epic” to be the cover story for its upcoming November issue, the aforementioned cover sporting a painting-like backdrop of Mickey facing off a hulking, menacing shadow. A couple extra screens, can be found after the jump.

Oh please may this come out on the PS3/360/PC in addition to the Wii. To deprive such a large chunk of the gaming community of what might be the most original and provocative title in many years is a crime.

No Doubt. It would be cool if there were essentially two versions; one with standard controls and epic visuals, and one with innovative controls and an impressive art style.

All I know is that I cannot wait to see more from Warren on this. That man is a genius.

I guess I just don’t get this? How is Disney allowing this?

Why not, they need to capture the interest of people that are miffed by their current line up of entertainment on the Disney Channel.

I think you severely underestimate how controlled Mickey and Disney Reputation is.

No I understand, but Disney needs to capture the MALE audience, that is why they bought Marvel.

Also this introduces people to characters they probably haven’t seen.

Ok, since the evil and forgotten characters will be bosses, Churnabog has to be a boss, he has to, he is evil to the very core, plus he doesn’t get too much attention. Fantasia FTW, Churnabog is defiantly my favorite Disney villain.

Now it is confirmed to be a Wii exclusive, just to give you guys a heads up, courtesy of Game Informer. I would post a link again, but damn, it just says that the comment has to be moderated.
