With the reoccurring console failures and Red Ring of Death (RROD), Microsoft has taking initiative and placed an on-site Xbox 360 repair program starting with their grand opening of their first official store in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Microsoft store are able to handle basic repair task as consumers are able to walk-in and drop off their console in the Answers Desk. Microsoft store employees are to diagnose the console and if unable to repair it, it’s to be shipped out to the nearest Microsoft repair facility.

  1. I like this… there should be more places like this.

If anyone saw that BBC show about the PS3’s YLOD… you know that that problem can be fixed in less than 45 minutes, with no effort or expensive parts (they fixed them in their van!).
