November 12th is quickly approaching and Infinity Ward has dropped yet another bomb on its user base. This time it’s affecting the 360 community.
According to Hellforge, Modern Warfare 2 will be dropping party chat. Attempting to join a party chat will prompt players to switch to in-game chatting or be forced to leave the game.
Robert Bowling, creative strategist at Infinity Ward, has yet to comment on the removal of the chat feature.
I don’t get it… why do they keep shooting themselves in the foot?
I can see what kind of problem they are trying to combat here… but how wide-spread is it really??? Still, no matter how often and how badly IW shoots itself in the foot, this game is gonna sell like crazy. In fact, it will give an entirely new definition to ‘selling like crazy’.
I think it’s not a bad idea, but personally, I think they should only do it in ranked matches. In unranked ones, they should allow friend chat.
I don’t get why its bad to have party chat in ranked matches… whats the problem?
