The Child’s Play charity, which provides children’s hospitals across the world with game consoles and video games, recently announced that they have accumulated over $1 million dollars over 2009. The charity hopes to procure $1.4 million for the 70 hospitals on its holiday wish-list.

“With so many people out of work, we’ve been amazed at the huge response this year,” explains Kristin Lindsay, Project Manager, Child’s Play. “The game community is really digging deep and we’re on track for a record breaking year.”

If you have a bit of extra cash laying around this holiday season, be sure to make a kid’s year with a donation (or donated system/game) of your own. Otherwise, let us know your thoughts on this little milestone below!
