Gerhard Florin, the Executive Vice President of Western World Publishing for Electronic Arts, has announced his intention to leave his ridiculously long job title on March 31, 2010 (which also marks the end of the fiscal year.) Having worked for the company for over 15 years, Florin is one of the few majorly responsible for EA’s breaking new ground in the European region. Florin has cited his reason for leaving as wanting to “keep my family in Europe.” Jens Uwe Intat, the current Senior Vice President and General Manager for European Publishing, will take over Florin’s duties upon his leaving.

  1. EA seems to really be having a hard time, which is a shame, since out of the top 3 publishers (Activision, EA, and Ubisoft) EA seems to take the most risks.
