In an open letter from Microsoft’s spokesperson Marc Whitten, the Xbox Live Terms of Use and Code of Conduct has been changed and will allow members to “more freely express their race, nationality, religion and sexual orientation in Gamertags and profiles” Insults and slurs are now acceptable on Gamertags and profiles, but misuse of the terms such as spamming or trolling can still get you banned.
