A new set of screenshots has been released for Bulletstorm, the upcoming FPS between collaborating studios Epic Games and People Can Fly. The game is set for a release on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2011 and will be published by Electronic Arts.
Bulletstorm tells the story of two ex-mercenaries who end up stranded on a planet that is inhabited by mutated wildlife and former citizens. The game will feature a unique system that rewards players for the way in which they kill their opponents. In Bulletstorm, more creative, over-the-top kills will provide more experience.
The set of 12 screenshots can be found after the jump.
I’ll look into it further, but it kinda seems to me like it should not be any more than $40. It gives off the same vibe as Madworld, which tuned out to be short. So I will have to wait and see what the future holds for this game.
I reminds me of Borderlands meets Zeno Clash. I’m interested, but then I remember that it is being developed by People Can Fly (I’m not a huge fan).
I’m pretty excited about this game… only condition for my buying it: split-screen co-op… but since this would kind of appear to go into competition with a possible sequel to Borderlands, I expect it will have that. Surprised it only mentions two characters though… given the fact that Borderlands uses it, I’d say 4-player co-op would become a standard for these type of games.
