After showing off at two consecutive E3 conventions, the second MMO project in the Final Fantasy franchise has been dated for both its PC and Playstation 3 versions. Those on PC can expect to get online on September 30th (with the Beta build being released sometime this month), with PS3 users getting their treatment sometime in early March 2011. The PC version is scheduled to cost $50, with no announcement so far of a PS3 price. This is in addition to the $13/month subscription cost.

The game’s Collector’s Edition has also been announced for PC, coming equipped with the Onion Helm in-game item, priority access to the game itself (beginning September 22nd), a security token for use with your password, a “travel” journey bearing several pieces of concept art, a redeemable code for a “Rite of Passage” official certificate, a behind-the-scenes DVD, and a special edition cover bearing the art of Yoshitaka Amano. The Collector’s Edition is set to launch with an MSRP of $75.
