CroTeam has announced that this weekend, the multiplayer component of the over-the-top first-person shooter Serious Sam: The Second Encounter will be available to all Steam-users free of charge. In addition, users who wish to purchase the full version of Serious Sam: The Second Encounter will be able to do so at a 50% discount and get the game at $10. From July 8th through July 11th, players will be able to engage in 16-player multiplayer matches across all game modes and all maps currently avaialable in the full game.
Serious Sam: The Second Encounter was initially released in February 2002, but has recently been re-released in an updated form with improved graphics.
