The sequel to last year’s universally-panned skateboarding title Tony Hawk: Ride, Tony Hawk: Shred, has failed to sell more than 3,000 units across all platforms in North America during the first week of its release. The title, which was released on October 26th, utilizes the same skateboarding peripheral that was the most prominent source of criticism for the previous installment in the series.

Last year, Tony Hawk: Ride sold over 110,000 units in approximately twice as much time, with over half of these being sold for the Nintendo Wii.

  1. Well with the reception of the Ride last year, this is to be expected. The Tony Hawk Franchise died after Underground, or earlier by some people’s standards.
