Yesterday, entertainment news website Deadline.com reported that MGM had confirmed the twenty-third James Bond movie was set to enter production towards the end of the current year, with a release apparently scheduled for November 2012. This same report indicated that a new videogame based on the franchise, which was apparently also held up over the financial woes of MGM, has recently been approved for production. Whether this game will be a movie tie-in has not yet been confirmed by either MGM, or Activision-Blizzard, which acquired the James Bond IP in 2006.
Last month, rumors indicated that Activision-subsidiary Raven Software had resumed work on a stealth-based James Bond title that had been on hold ever since MGM ran into financial problems.
