A report we submitted last week turned out to be less reliable than previously thought, as I Am Alive – thought to be receiving a downloadable release later in the year – turned out to still be up in the air. The report’s originating site (Jeux Video) recently apologized for the story, claiming it was “a joke” from Ubisoft’s Toronto (who was “taken aback” by the report) taken too seriously.
“Although our responsibility in this story is zero, we still want to apologize for the misunderstanding arisen from this innocent trait of humor,” Jade Raymond responded [via Destructoid].
Ubisoft has submitted a statement on the matter, which reads in part, “We have not officially announced anything regarding the launch date or platforms for I Am Alive. We have nothing to announce at this time.”
