The Weinstein Company, an independent film studio that created “The King’s Speech,” and was involved in the production of “Inglourious Basterds,” and “Rambo,” has announced that it is setting up “a new initiative in the video game space” under the name of TWC Games.
According to a press release by The Weinstein Company, the new entity will work together with third parties in order to publish and develop games based on franchises owned by the studio. Amongst these franchises are “Scream,” “Hellraiser,” “Halloween,” “Scary Movie,” and “Children of the Scorn.” TWC Games is aiming to develop games for mobile, console, and social platforms.
