Sony Santa Monica, the studio famed for the God of War franchise, is looking for an Online Programmer vet with experience in “in-game communication, client-server, match-making [and] leaderboards.” While this could potentially mean a new franchise for the team, the studio has been wholly occupied on the Spartan action franchise since its inception, with projects elsewhere being collaborative with other development teams. The God of War series is also expected to continue into at least one new game, and with Ready at Dawn heading to console, Sony Santa Monica is the only staff with experience on the franchise.
