Bad news for Australian fans of The Witcher series – the upcoming sequel will be censored for gamers in the country. The Witcher 2 originally featured sexual involvement as an award for completing quests for specific characters. However, due to Australian law the title couldn’t be released legally in Australian stores unless it was censored.

CD Projekt, the developers and Central European publishers for the game, addressed the issue in an announcement, stating, “In order to obtain the rating in Australia, CD Projekt RED was unexpectedly obliged to make small changes to game content relating to the topic of sex as a reward. Since these changes are quite minor, especially relative to the total amount of content, they are unlikely to significantly affect the overall play experience.”

Angry about the censorship, or do you not mind it? Post a comment below and tell us what you think.
