Sony to Stop Comic Book Service for PSP

Adriasang reports that Sony will be shutting the service that allows users to download digital comic books via their PSP by the end of the year. Hit the jump for more details.
Though Sony has not offered any explanation for taking down the service, it has confirmed that it will continue to release new content until March 15th. Comics in the store will be available for purchase until September, and users who have previously purchased content can redownload this content until December. After that, the service shuts down for good.
The service launched late 2009, and more than 4000 items have been release through it since.
