VG247 is reporting that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix aren’t going to stop the franchise reboots with Tomb Raider. If the rumors are accurate, the Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain sequel Soul Reaver will also be getting a major overhaul. Details are coming from an unnamed source and are few and far between, but point to a completely re-worked art direction and a general game re-imagining. A reveal is currently expected for this year’s E3.
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver was originally released in 1999 for the Playstation and PC, with a Dreamcast port following a year later. A sequel, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, launched for PC and PS2 in 2001.
