Get ready to wipe the drool (or blood) from your chin.

Paradox Interactive and Fatshark released their gameplay trailer War of the Roses, an ambitious and gritty multiplayer action game coming to PC. The newly released video is the first in a set of gameplay trailers dubbed the “Death Before Dishonor” series, scheduled to be released in steady intervals until the game’s launch this fall. Over 60 different weapons to choose from, tiered skill trees within a fully-fleshed leveling system, team-based tactical challenges as well as deathmatches for soloists.

Paradox Interactive and Multiplay have also teamed up to ensure that War of the Roses’ multiplayer mode is top notch and optimized for the large assortment of gaming rigs. Having been brought on during the pre-alpha stage of development, Multiplay’s primary role is to ensure that the multiplayer experience for War of the Roses is superior to other online real-time multiplayer games by offering consultation on improvements for server performance and latency.

“Much like Paradox, Multiplay is a company that’s community driven and is dedicated to its loyal fan base, I jumped immediately at the chance to collaborate with them again,” said Gordon Van Dyke, Senior Producer at Paradox Interactive. “They are experts in online PC gaming and their feedback during these early stages of development has proven to be invaluable, we couldn’t have picked a better partner to help us fine tune the online experience for War of the Roses.”

  1. Interesting… certainly a unique looking game.

On an unrelated note, is your Amalur review comment-locked – for some reason I don’t see a leave a reply section there.

    1. That is VERY odd. Older posts auto-lock, but I didn’t think Amalur was that old. There was also a WordPress update recently that might have set some posts to auto-lock.
