Vg247 reports that several Danish outlets have listed The Witcher as available for pre-order on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. No official statement regarding this has been made by developer CD Projekt Red, though it is no secret that a console version of the original The Witcher was in development until early 2009. More information is available after the jump.
A console version of The Witcher was in the works until April 2009, when CD Projekt withdrew support from the French studio Widescreen Games, which was working on the port at that time. The port was to be known as The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf and would have featured several updates over the original PC version from 2007.
A sequel to The Witcher was released last year on PC, and an Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was released in April this year.
More information is expected to be revealed at a CD Projekt press conference, which is scheduled to be held today.
