Microsoft: Users to Earn Rewards Based on Gamerscore
20 Jun, 2012
Microsoft has announced via the “Xbox Live Rewards”-Twitter feed that coming this fall, players will be able to earn rewards based on their Gamerscore. More information is to be found after the jump.
A Tweet published earlier today by @Xboxliverewards stated the following:
We’ve hit 50,000 followers so it’s time to unveil our news! This Fall, we’ll have a new way to earn Rewards that’s based on your Gamerscore!
Gamerscore is earned via in-game achievements, which until now did not provide any meaningful bonuses for users. Microsoft has not given any details as to the specific way in which users would be rewarded.
The Xbox Live Rewards program has existed since late 2010 and offers users Microsoft Points for participating in surveys, competitions, and for purchasing certain types of content on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
