Rumor: Crystal Dynamics Working on New Next-Gen IP
24 Jun, 2012
Playstation Universe has uncovered a job listing on the website of Tomb Raider-developer Crystal Dynamics that calls for an Animation Engineer to work on a new IP for future platforms. The listing has since been edited by Crystal Dynamics to no longer state that the project is meant to be released for future platforms, though multiple new job listings related to the new IP have been posted since.
Little is known about the new IP, aside from that it will be a third-person action adventure title. Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind The Legacy of Kain-franchise and the most recent installments in the Tomb Raider series, has been a subsidiary of Square Enix ever since the latter acquired Eidos in 2009.
