CVG reports that the most recent Official Xbox Magazine has published a rumor suggesting that Thief 4, which is currently in development at Eidos Montreal, is now being developed for next-generation consoles. According to the report, several of CVGs own sources have confirmed the news. The sequel to 2004’s Thief: Deadly Shadows was announced in 2009, but little information has emerged regarding the game since then – with even the website for the game going without any updates since the unveiling.
Whether the game is currently being developed solely for next-generation platforms, or if a release on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 is still a possibility as well, has not been stated by the sources of Official Xbox Magazine or CVG.
