17 Aug, 2012

Developers Red Eagle Games and Jet Set Games are collaborating on a new mobile game that is to be based on Robert Jordan’s “The Wheel of Time” series. The game, which will be known as First Banner of the Rising Sun, will be developed for Android and iOS, will be funded in part by a Kickstarter with a $450,000 goal.

The first book the “The Wheel of Time” franchise was published in 1990, and several video games inspired by the series have been released since. First Banner of the Rising Sun would be the first game based on the series to make its way to mobile platforms. Obsidian Entertainment announced in 2010 that it was also working on a title based on the franchise for current-generation platforms, but no information regarding the development of this title has been released since.

Missed out on most of the "Golden Age of Gaming" due to not being born until 1988. Been catching up on what I've missed out since I began writing for Elder Geek in 2009. For some reason, continuously mistaken for being Belgian, despite being Dutch.
