Bohemia Interactive, the developer of the upcoming ArmA III, has made an official statement regarding the two developers that are currently being held by Greek police on charges of espionage. CVG reports that Bohemia denies rumors that the developers were arrested while photographing military installations on the Greek island of Lemnos as part of research for ArmA III. Instead, the studio has stated that the developers were on the island, where the upcoming ArmA title will be set, for a private vacation.
Though the developers are still being held, Bohemia states that both were taking pictures and filming the larger area surrounding the international airport on the island. Parts of the military installation would have been visible in the background of these recordings, but all footage was taken from public areas.
Both developers are currently charged with espionage, and will face a preliminary hearing soon.
