According to Venture Beat, Electronic Arts has appointed BioWare Austin general manager, Matthew Bromberg, as group general manager of its BioWare label.
The position has been open since BioWare founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka left last year. As the group general manager, Bromberg will retain leadership of the BioWare Austin division but his responsibilities will be extended to include BioWare Canada in Edmonton and Montreal, the Victory studio in Los Angeles and also the Waystone Studio in Redwood City, CA.
Aaryn Flynn, head of BioWare Canada; Jon Van Ceneghem, head of Victory and Waystone; and Jeff Hickman who will be the new BioWare Austin head will now all report to Bromberg.
