In an interview with Screen Crush, Vin Diesel said that the Starbreeze Studios development team that created The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay has been reassembled to develop a third game for the series.
“We just, over the past couple of months – just this year – reassembled that team from Starbreeze that brought Escape from Butcher Bay to create the third game,” Diesel said, in part.
Escape from Butcher Bay was followed by The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, which included an upgraded Escape from Butcher Bay. Former Starbreeze members formed MachineGames in 2009 and are currently working on a new entry in the Wolfenstein series. Diesel also said that a Riddick app is coming soon to iOS for iPad.
