World of Tanks developer Wargaming.net is opening a new studio in Seattle, which will develop mobile games.
The new studio is currently unnamed, but it will be headed by Z2 co-founder David Bluhm. “We think mobile games is still a relatively new space with massive upside,” Bluhm told GamesBeat, in part. “Mobile is ripe for innovative and new core game mechanics.”
The studio will also be its own entity and remain separate from Wargaming Seattle. Bluhm also told GamesBeat he would reveal more information about the studio in the coming weeks.
