Sony Online Entertainment’s All Access pass has been delayed and is now expected to launch on April 29th. The pass was originally planned to launch on April 2nd but was delayed to April 6th because the team had “lots of stuff to finish”.
“In an effort to ensure that the transition to the new All Access membership plan is as seamless as possible, we are going to be taking a little more time to test,” SOE community relations manager Collette Murphy wrote on the company’s forums. “So, we will be pushing the launch date of All Access to Tuesday, April 29th. Because of the portfolio-wide nature of this plan, this may prevent us from doing any individual game updates in EverQuest, EverQuest 2, Planetside 2 and DC Universe Online. These updates will resume normally after the All Access launch. We appreciate your patience and you’ll agree that our new membership offering is worth the wait.”
The All Access plan offers a subscription to SOE’s entire catalogue of games for just $14.99 per month, replacing its previous pass that cost $19.99. All Access currently includes DC Universe Online, PlanetSide 2, Dragon’s Prophet, EverQuest, EverQuest 2. The pass also includes Vanguard: Saga of Heroes but the game will be shut down July 31st. Sony Online is planning to add EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next Landmark to the pass as well.
