Just Cause 3 has been revealed as the December cover of Game Informer, and reveals that the next entry in Avalanche Studios’ action series is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Just Cause 3 sends players to a fictional Mediterranean archipelago and features “vastly improved parachute and grapple mechanics” and also introduces an all-new wingsuit to the franchise.
Avalanche co-founder and CCO Christofer Sundberg also released a statement in response to recently leaked screens from the game, suggesting it may include microtransactions.
“To be perfectly clear: Just Cause 3 will be available in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC,” he wrote, in part. “It will be distributed as a retail box and digital download. It is not a Free To Play game. It does not feature in-game micro transactions.” Sundberg did note that following the release Avalanche is likely to look into DLC packs to support the game “and its players for many years to come.”
