THQ has announced that it will release a 90-minute demo for Darksiders on the 25th of this month for Playstation Network and Xbox Live. The demo comes more than one and a half month after the release of the game, and will contain the entire first dungeon of the full version. David Adams, general manager of developer Vigil Games, stated that they “really wanted to give gamers a true idea of the variety of gameplay that the game offers and so […] we decided to give away this massive level and reveal the true essence of the game.” The demo will take approximately 90 to complete for an average gamer.
THQ recently announced that the game has sold over 1.2 million copies in the first four weeks since release, and that a sequel to the game is planned for release in the financial year running from April 2010 until March 2011. The Elder-Geek.com review of Darksiders can be found here.
