Cologne, Germany – Julie Turner, senior director of The Sims 3, took the stage at the EA press conference earlier today and revealed more details surrounding the first expansion to the The Sims 3, World Adventures.
She emphasized that The Sims 3 had sold over 3.7 Million since the game’s release in June earlier this year, despite widespread piracy. Also, the Sims community has spread to new popular media such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, where the Sims-channel is the second-most subscribed sponsor channel.
As reported recently, the expansion will take players to China, Egypt and other locations where your Sims will be able to go on adventures to discover hidden treasures.
Turner revealed that popular artists such as Pixie Lott, Stephanie Heinzmann, Matt and Kimm, Young Punx as well as Nelly Furtado will be re-recording their hits in Simlish and have their music featured in the game. Additional artists will be revealed in the coming months. The game will be available at retailers on November 16th.
