2003’s cell-shaded, comic book shooter XIII didn’t start a revolution on the charts or with the critics – most citing it as a lavishly produced but mechanically underwhelming game – but French developer Anuman Interactive looks to be giving the license another chance with a new game. If the title is any indication, XIII: Lost Identity looks to be keeping with amnesiac special agent’s quest for memory that carried the first installment.
Based off a Belgian comic of the same name from 1984, the original game ended on a pretty severe cliff-hanger, leaving plenty of space for a sequel. According to the developer, Ubisoft will bring the game to PC, Mac, iPhone, and iPad sometime next month. No other details, including whether David Duchovny will return as the voice of the titular agent, have been provided.
