During the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Panel at last week’s New York Comic Con, Capcom announced that a collection of two Darkstalkers titles will be making its way onto Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade next year. According to a report by MCV, the bundle will include the arcade versions of both Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge and Darkstalkers 3. More details are included after the jump.
The titles are the second and third title in the franchise, and were released in 1995 and 1997 respectively. The ports are being handled by Iron Galaxy Studios.
Speaking to Joystiq, producer Derek Neal explained that they couldn’t decide which Darkstalkers installment to port, as the fans seemed to be divided between the second and third installments in the series. As a result the bundle, which will be titled Darkstalkers Resurrection, will include both. Additionally, Neal confirmed the release of the bundle may be the first step towards an entirely new title in the franchise.
Darkstalkers Resurrection will be released in the first quarter of 2013 for Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, at a price of $14.99 or 1200 Microsoft points.
