VG247.com reports that Mike Capps, the president of Epic Games, will be stepping down from his duties at the studio to focus on his personal life. More details are included after the jump.
The departure of Capps follows just two months after the departure of former design director Cliff Bleszinski. In the message announcing his departure, Capps states that he will be using his time to be a stay-at-home dad to care for his soon-to-be born child, and will likely be spending some time on teaching, creative writing, and getting involved in a few charities. Capps was involved in the development of the original America’s Army, and went on to take part in the development of several installments in the Unreal and Gears of War franchises. As he is not planning to be part of any other development studios or engage in other forms of full-time employment, Capps will remain on the Epic Board as an advisor for the foreseeable future.
It has not been announced who will be replacing Capps in his role as President of Epic Games.
