Bethesda Softworks has announced that Machinegames’ Wolfenstein: The New Order will be released on May 20th, and it will also include beta access to the next Doom title from id Software.
According to Bethesda, everyone who pre-orders the game will receive instructions on how to sign up for the beta and will received emails at a later date, detailing when the beta will go live as well as what platforms it will arrive on.
Doom 4 was officially announced as in development in 2008, however it was overhauled in 2011 because it “did not exhibit the quality and excitement that id and Bethesda intend to deliver and that Doom fans worldwide expect.”
Wolfenstein: The New Order will arrive May 20th in North America and May 23rd in Europe. It is coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.
