Team Ninja and Nintendo have teamed up for what appears to be at least a partially 2.5-D Metroid title slated for 2010. It promises to deliver Samus’ backstory, as well as some non-2.5D shooting portions.
Shown off at Nintendo’s press conference was the return of Super Mario Galaxy. The footage shown included multiple Yoshis, large worlds and the same clean look and gameplay we’ve come to expect from a 3D Mario title.
Although little was shown concerning software support, Nintendo’s Iwata-San, showed off a new peripheral for the Wii which aims to monitor body functions such as heart rate for a level of immersion and relaxation. One can only imagine the applications of such a device, especially for the survival-horror genre, as well as the ever-popular-in-Japan sex-simulators
