Xbox One Party Chat Will Improve Says Major Nelson

Microsoft’s Larry Hryb has confirmed in a Reddit post that the company is aware of user issues with the Xbox One’s party chat, saying “things will get better”.

Xbox One owners are reporting problems accessing the party chat service. A Reddit post from user azGRIMES shows an example where the gamer was unable to chat with friends in a party while playing a different game. “I had a meeting today about much of this and I can say that things will get better,” Larry ‘Marjor Nelson’ Hryb responded. “I can’t offer a timeline of a list of what till be addressed first, but we are aware of the issue and things will get better.”

Report: Sony Looking For New Board Director

According to a report by The New York Post, Sony is looking for “at least one” new board director and has already “approached several US-based media executives” to take the role.

Sony’s biggest investor Dan Loeb is reportedly seeking a seat on the company’s board, however it is unknown if Sony is open to the idea. Loeb called on Sony to split its music and movie business from its electronic business back in May, however the proposal was rejected. Late last month, Sony hired Bain & Company to help cut $100 million in costs.

‘God of War: Ascension’ Director Todd Papy Joins Crytek

God of War: Ascension director Todd Papy is now working at Crytek as a game director on an unannounced project, according to his LinkedIn profile and Twitter account.

Papy announced last month that he had left Sony to move to Germany. “I haven’t quit games,” he said at the time. “We decided to move to Germany. We want to experience a different culture & all the wonderful things that Europe has to offer.”
