Next week Radio Free Gamer will interview Nick Marinelli, PR Director for the Music and Gaming Festival.  For those of you who might not be familiar with MAGFest, it is a game music fan’s dream.  There are professional composers (Banjo Kazooie‘s Grant Kirkhope and Secret of Mana‘s Hiroki Kikuta), rocking video game cover bands (The Megas, The Protomen, Armcannon, Metroid Metal, and The Oneups to name a few), the voice of Duke Nukem himself (Jon St. John),  a 24-hour gaming room, informative and entertaining panels, crazy parties, and great surprises.  It all goes down from January 13th-16th 2011 at the Hilton Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

Following countless delays, Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed that the game had “gone gold” last week. Today, Sony confirmed that the long-awaited title will finally make its way onto storeshelves by November 24th, a mere twelve days away.

The game features a grand total of 1,031 cars and a total of 26 different locations. Including different versions of each of these tracks, the total number of different tracks amounts to 71. (more…)

After having teased gamers with the promise of a new trailer for L.A. Noire, Rockstar has finally released the first in-game glimpse at the open-ended mystery-solver ever since the original debut trailer was released in 2006. The game, which has been in development at Team Bondi for over six years, was originally set to be exclusive to the Playstation 3, but reports from earlier this year indicated that the game will also be released for the Xbox 360.

The trailer, which can be found after the jump, shows protagonist Cole Phelps at several murder scenes and also shows off the realistic recreation of 1940-Los Angeles. Rockstar has confirmed that the game will be released in Spring 2011, but has not provided a more specific release date. (more…)
