The Brazilian ratings board has listed Far Cry HD for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The listing does not note any release date, although it does say that the rating application was filed in November last year.
The first Far Cry game was on PC and was published by Ubisoft and developed by Crytek using the CryEngine in 2004. Ubisoft has since developed on its own engines Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 3, with the third entry shipping over 6 million units during its last fiscal year which was well above Ubisoft’s expected sales.
Ubisoft’s recent stand-alone spin-off Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon has now become the “fastest downloadable title in Ubisoft history.”
