In a move that garnered laughter and then stunned silence from the conference audience, Jack Tretton premiered the first trailer for another installment in the Final Fantasy series, again exclusive to the Playstaton 3 hardware. Final Fantasy XIV is the series’ second foray into online interactivity, with XI being their initial attempt a while back. The teaser revealed little story information or anything concrete about the title, but more information is expected to surface in coming months.
