Electronic Arts today announced that the latest in the life simulation series, The Sims 3, has moved over 1.4 million units in its first week alone, making it the biggest PC launch in the publisher’s history. Sales of downloadable user-made content for the IP (including characters, houses, objects, etc.) have reached over seven million, and the title has been the #1 download on the iPhone and iPod Touch’s app store since its release.
