Cologne, Germany – While the press conference held by Bethesda Softworks at GamesCom today led to little news, the developer / publisher from Maryland, US did reveal some screenshots for their upcoming titles Wet and Brink.
The most important news that was revealed at the conference was that Fallout 3 DLC episodes “Broken Steel” and “Point Lookout” will be available at retailers for the first time on game DVD next week. The two episodes of DLC will be available from August 25th at the same price as they would through digital download, $20 . No news was released whether or not the recently released “Mothership Zeta” will be available at retailers as well in the future, nor did any details emerge regarding the “Game of the Year Edition” for Fallout 3, which would include both the original game and all five episodes of DLC. The hard-copy version of “Broken Steel” and “Point Lookout” will be available for PC and Xbox 360.
Wet is an upcoming Action game set for release mid-September on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is in development by Canadian developer Artificial Mind and Movement. Two new featurettes debuted on the show floor of GamesCom, detailing both the story and mechanics of the new action title.
Three new screenshots also showcase the “Rage mode” of the game, which dramatically alters the colours in which the game world is represented. Another screenshot show the game’s heroine, Rubi. The final screenshot shows Rubi in a firefight.
