Cologne, Germany – Namco Bandai dishes out yet another techno-pulsing trailer of rotating slow shots on colorful people fighting each other, this time dropping hints at the latest game’s storyline. For those first glimpsing the plot here, it goes something like this. Latest in the cursed Mishima bloodline, Jin Kazama, has taken control over the family’s giant business conglomerate, declaring the company it’s own country and lashing out on all who oppose it. A rival corporation, G Corp, puts a bounty on Jin’s head as a result. For some reason, a response comes from Mishima headquarters in the form of the King of the Iron Fist Tournament 6, offering the opportunity for dozens of eccentric fighters to battle through the ranks and obtain the bounty on Jin’s head as a result. Tekken 6 is coming to the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PSP this October 27th.
A couple of gameplay trailers were dropped on the PSP version of the game as well. The handheld version of the title will feature additional stages and a “Ghost Infrastructure” mode which will allow players to save and upload their fighting data as playable downloadable opponents for anyone to challenge. Namco Bandai set the stage high with their previous portable version of a Tekken title, Tekken: Dark Resurrection, so expectations are high for the upcoming PSP brawler.
