Cologne, Germany – Alexander House, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, dived into more details on Sony’s handheld on stage at this year’s GamesCom, this time discussing more in depth on digital distribution support for the system. Debuting as part of the PSP’s App Store is a special, bargain section of games known affectionately as “minis,” or “bite-sized, snackable games,” all with a 100mb limit. Support has already been announced from Electronic Arts, who plan to bring titles like Sudoku and Tetris, with iPhone-esque titles like Field Runners also being shown.
The PSP-3000 also got more hardware support in the form of several new colors. Users can expect both bundled and stand-alone versions of system in new “turquoise green, lilac purple, and blossom pink,” shades.
