With the tech demo of the motion-controlled version of Resident Evil 5 revealed at Tokyo Game Show – featuring Jill Valentine as a playable character – a recent article posted on Dengeki Online states that the director’s cut version of the game will not be constricted to Sony’s platform, and content may come to the Xbox 360 as DLC on the XBL marketplace. Unfortunately, motion control support is said to be exclusive to Sony’s system. The title will be dubbed Resident Evil 5: Alternative Version and include a “Jill episode”, which takes place three years before the events of RE5, as Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield infiltrate the mansion owned by Umbrella Corp. The game and extra content is set to release spring on next year in Japan.
