After a trailer for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was leaked in September 2009, it has long remained quiet concerning details of the sequel to 2007’s RPG of the Year. Today, a new trailer has finally been released, officially presenting the The Witcher 2 to the world.
Similar to the original, the game is being developed by the Polish developer CD Projekt Red Studio. In response to a question raised on the CD Projekt forums, a representative of the firm stated that the developer is currently aiming for a release in the first quarter of 2011. Few other details are available at this time. The trailer can be found after the jump.
It is still unclear whether the game will also be made available for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, in addition to the PC. In September 2009, CD Projekt Red Studio stated that they did wish to release the game for consoles, but that more information concerning this would be made available at a later date. The recently released trailer does not include any mention of either console, however.
ME like and want it so bad. Geralt is one of the most awesome characters in gaming ever.
