Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that Batman: Arkham City, the sequel to the 2009 action-adventure Batman: Arkham Asylum, will be released in North America on the 18th of October. The Australian release will follow one day after the North American release, with the game hitting storeshelves in Europe on the 21st. The game was already teased in late 2009, but it wasn’t until mid-2010 that developer Rocksteady Studios began to provide details about the game. Unlike the original, where Eidos Interactive shared publishing duties with Warner Bros. Interactive, Warner Bros. will be the sole publisher for the sequel.
Characters that have been confirmed to be featured in the game include the Joker, Harley Quinn, Victor Zsasz, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Talia Al-Ghul, as well as Two-Face, the Calendar Man, and Hugo Strange.
Man this game is going to be a lot of fun. I think it’s going to be a sure thing
Can’t wait for October to be able to explore Gotham City. This time, Rock Steady will make it so you can’t abuse the detective mode as much. Gonna be sweet.
