The LinkedIn profile of a former BioWare employee, Rafael Brown, has revealed that the company was at one time working on a sequel to the Asian-themed RPG Jade Empire, which was intended for a release on PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360. Brown worked at BioWare from April 2006, to April 2007.
BioWare employees have hinted at a sequel to Jade Empire since 2005, though rumors have become scarce since 2007. In an interview with GTTV in November 2009, BioWare co-founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka stated that a sequel to the well-received RPG was considered, but that they had nothing to announce regarding the matter at that time.
Jade Empire was released as an Xbox exclusive in 2005, but was ported to the PC and Mac in 2007.
