Some Fallout: New Vegas fans out there have unfortunately tumbled into quite the conundrum in relation to the Honest Hearts DLC for the game.  It won’t work.  Bethesda has announced an upcoming patch that should fix potential issues that are causing this.  However, some game files will not be salvageable regardless.  The prime culprit for the problem at hand is the main story quest “E-DE, My Love,” which has had reported bug issues since the game was released.

In response to a user identified as FrankBroWest, Nick of Bethesda (assumed to be Nick Breckon, the Community Manager) replied that they, “are aware of the issue and are working on a fix for the next patch.” He continued by stating, “if you already have a save game where the bug is occurring, the fix will not apply and you’ll need to revert to an earlier save prior to ED-E leaving in order to play through Honest Hearts.

This is doesn’t appear to be the quality of fix that New Vegas gamers were looking forward to hearing.

  1. Wow that sucks. Thankfully this didn’t happen to me. That would have delayed my review a while. 😛
